01. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the Austronesian Language Pack website (karyain.net), our community cloud catalog, our linguistic assets (.karyain packages), or the Austronesian Universal Patcher desktop application, you enter into a binding agreement governed by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to every provision herein, you must immediately cease all access and delete any downloaded assets.

02. Research Nature & Unofficial Fan Project

The Austronesian Localization System operates under an independent NLP labs research umbrella strictly as a non-commercial, academic, and cultural preservation initiative. Our primary mission is researching computational linguistics, machine-assisted terminology alignment, and high-fidelity video game localization into Austronesian languages (Indonesian, Malay, and Tagalog/Filipino).

All translation modifications, community patches, and desktop tools are unofficial fan creations. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated in any manner with Valve Corporation, Epic Games, Nintendo Co., Ltd., Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft Corporation, or any of their respective developers, publishers, or subsidiaries.

03. Legitimate Game Ownership & Anti-Piracy Policy

Our tools and language packs are engineered solely to modify legitimate, legally purchased copies of interactive software:

• Ownership Prerequisite: You represent and warrant that you own an authentic, legally acquired copy of any title you choose to localize using our tools.
• Strict Anti-Piracy Mandate: This platform strictly prohibits the distribution, linking, or hosting of cracked game executables, unauthorized binary bypasses, pirated game ISOs, or proprietary decryption keys. We do not provide base game files.

04. Universal Patcher Desktop Software & Local Revert

The Austronesian Universal Patcher desktop utility (AustronesianPatcher.exe) is provided for private, non-commercial use on personal computers:

• Non-Destructive Backups: Before modifying monolithic archives in direct-patch mode, the patcher automatically generates a byte-exact backup copy (*.bakaryain). Users are strictly advised not to delete these backup files, as they are required for clean restoration via the Revert feature.
• User Backup Responsibility: While the patcher incorporates fail-closed safety routines and in-situ checksum verifications, you remain solely responsible for backing up your personal game save files and installation directories prior to performing any modding operations.

05. Nintendo Switch Status & Full ROM Dump Disclaimer

Users interested in console or handheld modding must observe the following explicit conditions:

• Zero Console Key Distribution: We do not host, extract, or distribute proprietary Nintendo cryptographic keys (prod.keys, title.keys), console certificates, firmware images, or dumped ROM archives.
• Console Risk Assumption: Performing custom firmware (CFW Atmosphere) installations or executing manual ROM dumps carries inherent hardware and software risks. Any user attempting these steps does so strictly at their own discretion, risk, and legal responsibility.

06. Single-Player Scope & Anti-Cheat Compliance

All localization mods produced by our community are developed exclusively for offline, single-player story campaigns:

• Modifying game files in titles featuring kernel-level or competitive online anti-cheat engines (such as EasyAntiCheat, BattlEye, Ricochet, or Vanguard) is strictly prohibited by those publishers and may trigger automatic account bans.
• Users agree to click Revert and verify original game file integrity before connecting to any online multiplayer service. We disclaim all liability for any account suspension, loss of multiplayer privileges, or platform bans resulting from online play with modified files.

07. Content Advisory ("No Censorship, No Filter")

In accordance with our linguistic research charter, translations reflect the unfiltered, original artistic vision of the game developers. Dialogue, narrative subtitles, and character speech may contain mature themes, strong language, violence, or provocative subject matter inherent in the source titles. We do not sanitize or censor artistic expression. User discretion is advised.

08. VIP Access & Voluntary Community Support

Our localization mods and public resources are free community creations. Voluntary financial contributions made through platforms such as Trakteer or Ko-fi represent voluntary donations to offset server maintenance, storage bandwidth, and translation pipeline research hardware.

Access to the VIP Lounge, early beta testing branches, or cloud catalog features is provided solely as a token of appreciation to active community supporters. Voluntary donations do not constitute a purchase of proprietary intellectual property, copyrighted assets, or commercial software licenses.

09. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

ALL SERVICES, COMMUNITY MODS, PACKAGES (.KARYAIN), AND THE UNIVERSAL PATCHER DESKTOP SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, COMPATIBILITY WITH FUTURE GAME UPDATES, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL NLP LABS, PROJECT MAINTAINERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR TOOLS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CORRUPTED GAME SAVES, APPLICATION CRASHES, SYSTEM INSTABILITY, OR HARDWARE MALFUNCTION.
