If you have ever wanted to experience the grit and grime of 1868 London through the eyes of the Frye twins but in Indonesian or Malay, your time has finally come. I have officially released the Alpha-1 Indonesian/Melayu translation for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Released in 2015, this game remains one of my personal favorites because of its atmospheric depiction of the Second Industrial Revolution, blending high-society galas with the brutal back alleys of Whitechapel.
Translating this game was like being a cultural archaeologist. The script is laden with Cockney rhyming slang, upper-class Victorian etiquette, and industrial jargon that defined an era. Trying to find Indonesian equivalents for 19th-century English colloquialisms was a massive challenge. I wanted to ensure that the duality between Jacob's impulsive, charismatic street-smarts and Evie's cold, calculated adherence to the Creed remained intact in the translated dialogue. Every mission briefing and side conversation with historical luminaries has been polished to perfection.
