Malam ini akhirnya aku bisa tidur nyenyak kawan, bener-bener plong banget rasanya! Setelah drama riset panjang, akhirnya translasi bahasa Malaysia di project Ghost of Tsushima kita sudah makin matang dan punya 'kelas'. Ceritanya tuh selama beberapa hari terakhir aku bener-bener kayak debt collector, neror chat bro Haziq Faruqi tiap jam cuma buat bantuin ngoreksi dan nge-review ratusan baris kata dalam bahasa Melayu yang masih berantakan. Dan kalian tau gak? Ternyata hasil didikan model AI kita yang dipaksa pake database 'karya tulis'-nya Haziq ini emang bukan maen kualitasnya kawan. Sekarang hasilnya udah kerasa setara, bahkan di beberapa part lebih bagus, sama standar terjemahan premium ala Netflix Malaysia! Gokil banget kan buat ukuran mod yang dibuat di sela-sela waktu senggang? Ini bukti kita bisa bersaing sama yang pro kawan!
Sebelum dapet pencerahan ini, kualitas terjemahannya tuh agak memalukan kawan, jujurly. Bahasa Malaysia-nya di model lama malah condong kearah dialek Utara atau Kedah gitu, karena AI-nya kebetulan banyak nyedot data sosmed dari area sana pas fase awal. Jadi, bagi mayoritas teman-teman kita yang tinggal di semenanjung Malaysia atau kuala lumpur, terjemahan sebelumnya kerasa 'canggung' dan malah terlalu informal. Banyak user dari negeri jiran yang sempat protes dan kirim masukan pedas karena translasinya dianggap 'kurang sopan' buat sebuah game samurai yang temanya sangat menjunjung tinggi kehormatan dan etika kawan. Kan ngga lucu ya, pas adegan serius manggil Shogun, bahasanya malah kayak lagi di warung kopi santai di pinggir jalan raya, haha. Bisa ilang aura keren gamenya kawan.
Tapi santai kawan, buat kawan-kawan dari Indonesia, versi bahasanya tetep senggol-bacok ala style aku yang agak 'ngawur' tapi asik. Saking seringnya aku latih AI ini pake data non-formal dan obrolan tongkrongan tiap malem, eh malah berakibat fatal: LLM-ku ini sampe lupa cara ngomong bahasa baku yang bener pas disuruh nulis pengumuman resmi, wkwk. Jadi vibenya emang bakal beda banget antara Indo dan Melayu kawan!
Justru di situ letak seninya lokalisasi ala kita kan kawan? Kita gak mau pake model 'one size fits all' yang bosenin. Ada warna dan identitas tersendiri di tiap bahasanya yang disesuaiin sama kultur masing-masing negara. Yang paling penting sekarang adalah teman-teman kita di Malaysia sudah bisa menikmati perjalanan spiritual Jin Sakai dengan bahasa yang jauh lebih terhormat, puitis, dan nyambung sama kultur sejarah samurai di sana. Memang proses tuning-nya bikin pusing tapi hasilnya 100% worth it demi kepuasan komunitas kita yang luas. Terimakasih buat kesabaran kawan-kawan sekalian dalam memproses update besar di folder Tsushima ini. Kalian emang support system paling mantap sepanjang karir modding aku ini. We took a bold approach: we didn't just use a generic dataset; we fed the LLM Haziq's personal 'writing portfolio' to act as a stylistic anchor. The result is pure linguistic gold. I’m not exaggerating when I say the output now rivals—and sometimes exceeds—the professional localization standards you’d see on platforms like Netflix Malaysia. We've moved from 'machine garbage' to high-tier professional prose within just a few update cycles. This is the power of human-vetted AI, my friends. It's a localized renaissance!
Reflecting on the earlier builds is a bit cringe-worthy now. Previous versions were admittedly messy because our source models were heavily biased toward certain regional dialects—specifically the Northern/Kedah registers found across Malaysian social media comments we initially scraped. To many general players in the capital or the southern regions, this version felt jarringly informal and, quite frankly, inappropriate for a game about a high-ranking Samurai noble defending his home island. A samurai wouldn't talk like a casual surfer or a teenager at a mamak stall—it breaks the suspension of disbelief.
